Love is in the Air

 Carly, Day 277, October 4, 2026

The first day of Spring arrived and the snow from the day before began melting away. Carly trained Whirlaway on barrels for awhile.

And Amelia decided to ask David out to eat. I forgot to write down this restaurant and its creator but it takes the place of the Oak Barrel in my main and I used it here.

They talked about a lot of things and Amelia really likes him. She had to start texting all her friends to tell them about it.

The food took extra long to arrive so they just enjoyed each other's company.

And they both were feeling very satisfied.

Their food did arrive and after they ate, Amelia decided to try for a kiss. I love how mad what's her name is.

It was going so well, Amelia asked David to spend the night and he thought a sleepover sounded like fun. And all they did was cuddle for a bit and then fell asleep cuddling. It was very sweet.

And I think this might be payback for all those mornings in Tartosa when the kids and dogs would all pile into Carly and Phillip's room when they were cuddling.

And snow is all gone, spring has sprung, I think.

New Year's Eve in Chestnut Ridge

 Carly, Day 276, October 3, 2026

There was a light snowfall coming down in the morning, which quickly turned into a blizzard. Carly took her first snowy horse ride though.

And before guests arrived, Carly entered her first competition. She and Whirlaway took home bronze in an endurance competition.

And a congrats from Stanley. Well, I'm interpreting - pretty sure that is what Stanley was thinking.

And even though they know Casey is happy, they still missed him.

And this is the party room in the basement. I had to extend it so I could put a buffet table down there. I knew everyone would be gathered around the TV at some point so I wanted to keep everyone in one room. Amelia prepared all the food.

And then the guests started arriving.

And the TV got turned on to the NYE channel pretty quickly.

Countdown starting...

I like how Jace goes in for a kiss before it is even finished.

And Amelia missed out on getting to talk to David. Once that TV comes on for the NYE channel, it is hard to talk to anyone.

And just some crossover fun with my Main Save. I put Phillip in my Main to separate him from his family when I shared him with everyone. I forgot about him. And he originated in my main but died several generations ago (his name was Bradley). Well, he showed up at a karaoke bar when one of my families was there. And yes, she is in a wedding dress, but they were just taking a wedding portrait which someone forgot to do at their wedding, and then got invited to the Flea Market.

Phillip's old persona in my main was the girl's (Wisteria's) great grandfather.

And more mind bending -- I found this picture of Bradley (now Phillip) with his son-in-law David (they are both deceased now in my main). Mozart is the horse behind them. He was my first ever horse after getting Horse Ranch. 

First Day in Chestnut Ridge

 Carly, Day 275, October 2, 2026

So for Carly's family, it is the end of winter. New Year's Eve is on Saturday, so they just caught the tail end of Winter in Chestnut Ridge. Just a light snow started falling on their first full day in Chestnut. Amelia has never ridden a horse, but she is a horse lover, so she picked it up pretty quickly.

Carly has ridden before on Moondance and she had Horse Riding as a class at college. She started Whirlaway on some jumping.

And their first evening, they decided to check out the Rusty Horseshoe. Much to Watcher's surprise, the person I placed in Chestnut for Amelia was the bartender.

He wasn't a good bartender, but he was the bartender. His name is David and I am embarrassed by his last name. I created him a couple years ago for the ranch and must have been having an uncreative name day and named him David Davidson (so lame, I know).

So, Amelia met him and the bar got super busy. There's Tae and Honey.

Tae and Carly grabbed a table to catch up a little. It's been awhile, but hopefully everyone can make it for New Year's Eve.

And when at the Rusty Horseshoe, the cowpoke dance is a requirement.

Later the next day, Amelia invited David over because I wasn't sure if Carly met him and she wanted to invite him for NYE.

And they flirted a bit.

Cebolla had also stopped over.

Some privacy maybe. Carly is sitting on the bench behind David.

But anyway, he is on the guest list for NYE. When Amelia walked him out, Em was singing her heart out.

And little Stanley was so cute asleep in one of the horse beds. Tiniest horse ever.
