Last Day in Tartosa

 Carly, Day 273, September 30, 2026

After Austin aged up and Mindy had gone home, Carly wanted to find out what Austin's plans were.

Carly: Are you looking forward to Chestnut Ridge? You haven't said much about it.

Austin: Well, I've been thinking about not going there. I'd like to go back to Strangerville. Even though I was little when we were there, it seemed like a great place. I saw our old house is on the market again.
Carly: Strangerville surprises me, but of course your father and I will help you get settled if that's what you want.

Carly: We will miss you, but it's not that far from Chestnut Ridge. Do you want to take one of the dogs to keep you company?

Austin: Well, I thought once I get settled, I would ask Mindy and her dog Duke to move in. Are you Ok with that?
Carly: She seems like a nice girl, but I didn't know it was that serious. 
Austin: Well, we haven't talked about it, but I think she will say yes.

Carly: I hope she does. And you can visit Chestnut Ridge anytime you know.
Austin: I know Mom. I will miss everyone.

Meanwhile, after a lot of thought, Phillip decided to step down as King.

And Amelia became Queen.

And one thing Carly had wanted to do while in Tartosa was to find some of those bottles. They all went down to the beach and she found quite a lot of them. Austin found some too as a momento from Tartosa.

October Looks

 Carly, Day 271, September 28, 2026

I decided to stay with Carly's hair for October. It is Mabelle by Simtrouble, V2 available here

This is Carly's everyday outfit. I didn't change her party outfits but this one could also be her party outfit. She's been looking like a ranch girl from the beginning so not much new.  Shirt and boots, Horse Ranch; Jeans, Base Game

Amelia (totally optional) got Carly's braid that she wore for awhile from Get Together pack.

All About Austin

 Carly, Day 270, September 27, 2026

The weekend came around in game and Austin was excited he had a date for the prom. During the day, Dad mentored him in handiness so he'd be prepared if he ever moves out on his own.

Meanwhile, Mom was teaching Amelia the art of knitting.

And then prom started. And I forgot to age Kara up, so she is still at prom.

They did get to slow dance.

And at the after party, they rode the cuddle carts and Austin got a first kiss.

Judging by the photo booth picture at the prom, Watcher wasn't sure it would happen.

On Sunday, Austin asked her out for a date. They went to a restaurant that wasn't working, but they found a bench and talked and flirted and kissed and ended up having a great date.

So when he went home, he took her along. And yes, she started eating the brownies that he gave her. Not a bad gift after all.

Mom made a cake and Austin aged up to young adult and so did Mindy.

Em was singing to him.

And that is where I left it. I think he will move out and then invite Mindy and Duke to live with him. I gave him the foodie trait because he loves cooking and he is going to go into the Chef career. Mindy got the loyal trait - I was glad she got something good. And poor Amelia must have refreshed a dozen times now and can't find anyone to date. I am tempted to try the blind date thing, but pretty sure that would be awful! I've never had anyone try it. 😁

First Date for Amelia

 Carly, Day 269, September 26, 2026

So the day after Winterfest was Career Day. Since Watcher is still pretending that Austin might complete a teen aspiration, we followed him to school on Thursday. He started off the day doing some football practice with Noah.

Then it was Career Day in the afternoon. This is his whole class in this picture.

And then he decided to check out the Thriftea before going home.

A little disappointed there were not any super crazy outfits. He ended up running into Mindy.

The next day was Friday and Amelia refreshed her Cupid's Corner and found one decent match, good qualities and kind of cute. His name is Marcus. She decided to plan a get to know you date at the beach. Apparently, Mom called Twila and told her to keep an eye on them.

But Twila and Jace soon just became focused on each other.

Amelia spent a lot of time talking with Marcus and found out a lot about him.

They went swimming for a bit and later did some cloud gazing.

They ended up with silver on the date, and a tiny pink bar, but sparks were not flying, although he was a nice guy. 

These are just some of the other beach goers. I actually for a second thought the guy in the hat was Rowan because Honey was talking to him.

And King Alej was getting some sun.

And this little guy found his way to the beach.

So how did he get there? Well, earlier in the day, Carly took Stanley for a walk and when she got back wanted to take Casey, but when I clicked on him, I thought Mortimer was stealing him!

Well, Casey ended up pretty far from home after jogging with Mortimer. but it wasn't far from the beach, so when Amelia went there, Casey did too.

 Carly, Day 263, September 20, 2026

Carly started worrying a bit about Amelia. Already a young adult and she has never known her to really be interested in dating anyone at all.

Carly: So, how does it feel to be an adult now? You are doing well in the noble career with Dad, but what about any personal plans?
Amelia: I've been thinking of trying out that Cupid's Corner. I never met anyone that I was interested in in high school. Kara had good luck with it.

Carly: I always thought you might be interested in the Rollins boy? You know, I had a crush on his Dad in high school?
Amelia: MOM - Dad is right there!
Carly: Oh, he knows. He loves Jace! Just a crush.
Amelia: We're just friends, but I do want to meet someone. No rush though.

So Amelia put her profile up on Cupid's Corner.

But the young adults that are available right now are not providing Amelia any encouragement in the dating world. She'll keep checking, but maybe she will have to wait. This is a sample of what she has been getting.

And Watcher has never done this before, but Austin made a promposal sign! I am nervous for him, what if she says No...

 And finally, Em had to tell the boys about Grandpa. They loved the time they got to spend with him and were very sad.

Casey: I bet that sweet Willow is very sad.
Em: They are all very sad. We look after our hoomans just like they look after us.
Stanley: I'm sad. Grandpa was a lot of fun. 
Em: Well, he is with his old wise dudes club now. He told me that if we listen really hard we can hear them singing.

Casey: I think I can hear them.
Em: He was very proud of you both. Never forget to stop and listen sometimes.
