Nordhaven Here We Come

 Carly, Day 60, March 1, 2026

After Carly had everything packed up, she was a little sad about leaving.


But once she was there, she loves her new place. 

After eating, she took EmmaLou out for a walk, which ended up being a very long walk.
Carly: It is kind of dreary today, but I think we are going to love it here, Em.

Since Harvestfest was the next day, Carly didn't want to open the shop yet. She's been wanting to try jewelry making, so she started learning that. Behind her is the entry way to her residence.


And she decided to do a little training with EmmaLou. She did good at learning to sit. The artwork in this room is from the gallery by cribea9.

The next day was HarvestFest and Carly took Em to the park (from the gallery and I added an obstacle course for Em). She is such a big girl going through the tallest hoop.

And I put a tripod and camera on the lot so Carly could easily take pictures of Em and the other pets and she called her over, but Em got sprayed by a skunk, so it was back home for a bath.

Carly's plan for the evening was to have everyone meet her at the fancy experimental restaurant in Nordhaven, but it was not working (and I had a sim test it last week). So once I did some work on it, I did have Carly go there by herself to make sure and she was able to get a table and get served. That is one thing she actually wants to collect - those pictures of the food.

And the shop will open on the Friday after HarvestFest. This is a photo of the studio now. The artwork is by Carly, including photos, and from the gallery by MOONL1GHTSEEKER and SimSationalToo. 


And the waiting/fun area. The letters are from MOONL1GHTSEEKER, and one picture on the wall, but the rest is Carly and from collections. I wanted something really eclectic for the shop. And once a Stones fan, always a Stones fan, so it is called Tattoo You. 


And once I knew EmmaLou was coming, I created a little grassy area out back. It was all concrete and I do like this little area and Em is out there all the time with her ball. And yes, the butterflies came along.

Start of a New Term

 Carly, Day 96, April 6, 2026 One thing that makes University so hard is not getting your new classes until about 6PM and then you may have 3 classes to do homework for. Luckily, Carly only had 2 Thursday classes to prepare for. She was hard at work (mostly hard at work) studying when someone happened to be walking by her house and couldn't resist stopping in to see her.  Watcher: You just have to get through two class homeworks tonight.  Carly: I know. Watcher: You do not look like you are reading about writing children's books. Carly: I am still reading the book.  That's about the time Paolo showed up. That little want she has in the corner is to woohoo with Paolo.  Watcher: Carly, you still have to finish one more homework. Carly: Watcher says I have to do this one homework before we whatever. Tattoo Shop Opening

 Carly, Day 61, March 2, 2026 When Carly got home from the restaurant, she was feeling very independent and happy for their lives in Nordhaven. She told Em all about the shop opening the next day. Carly: Now Em, you will be the shop's official greeter while I tend the tattoo table. Everyone will love you, you are so cute. Em: Woof!  The next day, Carly officially opened the shop. Carly tending the table. And she spotted a familiar face. Carly: Pants off Paolo. You are getting a leg tattoo. Carly is very serious about her work. And she got her first good review from Paolo. Carly thinking she may need to get a closer look at that someday to make sure she didn't make any mistakes. Matteo was her next customer. Carly: I know you are getting an arm tattoo. Trust me, it will end up on your arm.
