End of Second Term

Carly, Day 97, April 7, 2026

Carly's terms have been running Thursday through Wednesday. I like that because it gives her a weekend to work on her papers or presentations. And she's been taking 3 core classes and one elective in something fun that might be useful. First term she had Equine Arts and learned a little horseback riding. Second term she had Xtreme Knitting and I remembered to get her a yarn basket. Here she is knitting something for a very special friend.

She has also had her three self-discovery moments. She declined Lovebug twice because that did not seem like her - she is more practical than that. But she accepted Perfectionist, Dog Lover, and Cheerful. And she got her second term grades on Wednesday.

She decided to invite Paolo out for dinner to celebrate. They met at a restaurant in Newcrest.

They do seem to always get along really well, talking, joking, flirting.

And from her critter hunting days, Carly acquired the flutter kiss. Little butterflies fly all around.

And she told Paolo she is really just looking to have some fun, no marriage thoughts for her.

Paolo is thrilled to hear that because I made him non-committal.

When Carly got home, she had to get some schoolwork done because the next day was HarvestFest but she had classes anyway. She got it done and then got her Friday work done in between classes so she could host a party for her friends. She has felt neglectful of her friends since she has been spending free time with Paolo and Em.

She cooked a beautiful turkey dinner and made Tiramisu for dessert.

Irene apparently was starving from her trip to Batuu and couldn't wait for Carly to ring the dinner bell.

Carly: Just a second, Irene. I just want to kiss Paolo.

Dinner is served, but apparently all anybody wants to eat is tiramisu.

Lesson learned. Don't put dessert out with the meal. All sims eat are sweets. Everyone has tiramisu on their plates.

Carly: Seriously, I made a whole turkey and you are all just eating tiramisu. I'm not making another one. When it is gone, it's gone.

And another new face at the party, besides Paolo.
Chiyo is very cute and Carly was glad she could include her in HarvestFest.

Thank you, Chiyo!

It was good seeing and talking to everyone, especially this old married couple at the table.

And I just missed getting a shot of Rowan coming over and kissing Honey on the cheek. It was very sweet.

I think everyone had a good time and Carly has a one track mind apparently. Still just one thing she wants to do.

I scanned around and found a group dancing downstairs and some in the TV room at times, but I never found Jace. When Carly was cleaning up dishes, she found one outside on the picnic table. I never looked there and then felt awful that Jace may have been out there by himself all night.

On Saturday morning, Carly called Jace and invited him over.
Carly: I am so sorry I didn't get to talk to you on HarvestFest. I wanted to hear all about the animals and ranch life.

Carly: I made this for you. I hope you like it. Well, it is for one of the chickens or the rooster to wear.

Jace: Carly, I wish you could meet everyone. This is Gilda and Moxie, and Domino and Echo. You would love them.
Carly: I wish I could meet them too. They are adorable!

Carly: Something I should have done a long time ago. We will be friends forever, Jace.
Jace: Always!

And they worked on a puzzle together before Jace had to get back to the ranch.

And a few extra pictures from her trying to get things done in Britechester.
I guess this is what I have to do to get in that secret society. Not even sure if I want to get in it, but feel like I have to try now.

Carly: Watcher, are you sure this is safe? I thought I was just going to be entering stuff on the keyboard.
Watcher: I'm sure it wouldn't be part of the aspiration if it wasn't safe.
Carly: OK, I'm sure you would have googled it.
Watcher: Um, yeah, sure, of course I did *gulp*

And the arrival the secret society.
Carly: Em, I don't know why Watcher wants me to join that club. Looks more like a gardening club than some secret society.
