Truth or Conspiracy Theory

 Carly, Day 182, July 1, 2026

After the visit from the wacky Welcome Wagon, Carly had a visit from government agents. She was quite displeased that they took their brand new refrigerator!

Still upset by it all, Carly took Em out for a walk.

Carly: There sure are a lot of scientists and military people running around here.

Carly: Em, I don't think we can go any further, but I wonder if what's down there is what is making these people act so weird.

Prior to visiting the curio shop, Carly went to the 8 Bells Bar where she found a lot of military personnel hanging out. Carly wanted to talk to them and the other locals about Strangerville.

She was sure something weird was going on after talking with people.

And when she left 8 Bells, she saw that Queen Isabella must have sent someone to check on her and Phillip. So even Isabella was worried about her brother's safety.

Phillip meanwhile had secured his position as King of Strangerville.

Phillip wasn't buying into Carly's conspiracy theories and life went on normally at the house for he and Em.


Phillip and Em were enjoying the change in weather from cold and snowy Mt. Komorebi, although little EmmaLou did not want to give up her winter outfit. They swam and played together.




Phillip wanted to have a party or at least invite family for New Year's Eve which was the day after they got to Strangerville, but Carly was convinced there was something going on and didn't want to have anyone over.  They spent it quietly together.

There was definitely some distance growing between them as Carly would spend all of her time away from the house, trying to find some evidence about what was going on. She found that a lot of scientists hung out at the library so she went there and to 8 Bells quite a bit.

She saw Cebolla was at the library too and obviously was envious of Carly headgear.

Carly loves her hat.

But she still made time for some walks with Em when she wasn't in town searching for the answers.

Em: You look silly, Mom. Dad says that hat is just a kitchen utensil.
Carly: Your Dad doesn't know what he is talking about. This is a very sophisticated piece of technology and I am going to get to the bottom of what is going on around here.

 Carly, Day 57, February 26, 2026 Carly intended for just the girls to get together for dinner so they could talk about Jace and Ashley, but Carly forgets that if a few of them get together, it's a club meeting. Back At Home

 Carly, Day 146, May 26, 2026 The best thing about coming home after a long vacation... Em: Mommy, mommy, I missed you. Carly: I missed you too cutie pie. Carly was a little rusty with her swordsmanship training though. Carly: Ouch! And Carly started right in on trying to complete the social puppeteer. She thought maybe she could get some secrets at some of the bars, so after Phillip went to sleep, Carly headed out. She got enough secrets to complete the third part of the aspiration. Look how muscular everyone is though. It was definitely that decree. I had Phillip remove it so we'll see if people stop being so muscular. For the fourth part, she has to expose the royal burglar and she has to become friends with the Information Broker, as well as deal with 10 more secrets. But she is able to hack for the secrets in that last phase so she has been doing that too. And all of these interactions with the nobles has increased her rank with the nobles to where she outranks Phillip.  ...

Start of a New Term

 Carly, Day 96, April 6, 2026 One thing that makes University so hard is not getting your new classes until about 6PM and then you may have 3 classes to do homework for. Luckily, Carly only had 2 Thursday classes to prepare for. She was hard at work (mostly hard at work) studying when someone happened to be walking by her house and couldn't resist stopping in to see her.  Watcher: You just have to get through two class homeworks tonight.  Carly: I know. Watcher: You do not look like you are reading about writing children's books. Carly: I am still reading the book.  That's about the time Paolo showed up. That little want she has in the corner is to woohoo with Paolo.  Watcher: Carly, you still have to finish one more homework. Carly: Watcher says I have to do this one homework before we whatever.
