 Carly, Day 114, April 24, 2026

I found myself browsing for hair for Carly for next month so I will ask your opinions on whether she should have the short hair or the long hair. 

All of these styles are by simstrouble. 

I love this short hair style and I had thought that I wanted her to have shoulder or chin length hair. So maybe if not this month, maybe down the road. 

All opinions are welcome!

And for dressing up, even though it appears short, I would use a bun. 

But then I found this hair, again from simstrouble, and it had a lot of coordinating updos, including a long braid, bun, pony tail, and I like that too. I didn't think I would like her with long straight hair, but now I kind of like it. 

And options for hair in front on both sides or all in back.

And the coordinating ponytail. 

I could see her with the long hair in May and she's going to be traveling to Selvadorada during May and can pull it back.  Maybe the short hair is more frazzled Mom hair with an optional messy bun.  

A Day at Gibbi Point

 Carly, Day 113, April 23, 2026

Carly woke up Sunday morning wanting to do something. It was raining in Britechester, so she thought maybe she and Em should go to Gibbi Point and visit Tae and go swimming. It was pouring in Gibbi Point when they arrived, so she tried the dog park in Newcrest and it was pouring rain there too. It is Spring so not unusual. But then she remembered she had a charged Amber ring. She put it on and traveled back to Gibbi Point and it was a warm sunny day. She spent some time visiting Tae and Chiyo and the animals.

Zorro is very sweet. And Em getting some love from Tae.

And then Carly and Em headed to the water to take a swim.

Carly: Em, sometimes I forget how pretty it is here. You were just a little puppy when you lived here.

The water was pretty deep for little Em.

I was worried when I saw how far she was from the shore. Carly is standing way back there.

But that short-legged little pup can swim. She made it safe and sound.

Carly: Em, let's get you spruced up, we have an awards show to get to.

Apparently they don't let dogs in PBP Studios. She waited outside with Thorne and Octavia. She did put her little dress on in case she would be allowed in.

And Carly won her second accolade for best book. I have no idea who she is talking to.

Spa Day

 Carly, Day 112, April 22, 2026

Carly had been wanting to try out a spa in Newcrest, so after work on Saturday, she gathered the club together for an outing. Everyone sort of did their own thing, exercising, yoga, or just walking around in robes. But everything at the spa seemed to work. 

 

Carly called everyone to the hot tub but only Cebolla joined her so they had a nice chat.

I was worried about Jace because those climbing things are dangerous but he did not get hurt.

It looked like Jace was a cowboy tipping his hat to Honey. He's so cute. 

And Carly was nominated again for another Accolade for Best Book. None of her dates, even Nelson, called her for a date.  With Paolo, he was always calling her. It was about even. They went on 6 dates and he had asked her on 3 of them. She's just hanging out now until the end of the month. Not sure if she'll look at the Cupid's Corner again. 

The Accolades Event

 Carly, Day 110, April 20, 2026

Carly was nominated for an accolade for the first book she wrote, a children's book called Sunflower's Big Day. She stayed home Sunday with the plan that she would try to get into the event. About an hour before the event, she heard a knock at the door. Honey came for a visit. 

Em loves Honey and went out to say hello.

So we invited her in and Carly thought maybe she could come to the event too, but then I lost her and Em fell asleep.

Then Honey came back to chat with Carly and gave Watcher a strange look. 

But it was time to go, so Carly grabbed Honey and off they went to the PBP Studios. Carly didn't have to bribe the bouncer, he went ahead and let her whole group in (her and Honey). Maybe because Carly's name had just been announced! She won the Starlight Accolade for Best Book!

Carly: I just want to thank all my wonderful fans and everyone who voted for me. I am just so humbled by this great honor. 

Carly: I just can't believe this. Thank you, thank you.

In reality, there was no one else there. But she did win the award. 

So then she joined Honey at the bar and bought them each a glass of nectar. 

Honey: I'm going to pick up some burgers on the way home. You want me to order you any?
Carly: No, I have leftovers at home.

Carly: I loved meeting Melody. She is so beautiful. And you and Rowan are such good parents.
Honey: Thank you! Rowan just adores her. 

And meanwhile, Carly got a strange call from Tae. She heard he might have become possessed, only temporary, but he is acting strange.

Carly didn't think it was a good idea. He has enough on his plate right now. 

And this is a picture of Carly's next house in Verdemar. It is from the gallery called Verdemar Mansion by froggychair123. I've been making a lot of changes, but not the basic structure. Lots of indoor renovations and adding the pool and backyard space. Have to do some more landscaping and hope her plants will fit on the one side of the house. I love this spot. There is a little pier behind the house where she can fish. I don't know if that water is swimmable, but the beach is not far in the other direction. The royal style isn't me, so I did it more cottage style with touches from the royal pack. Can't wait to have a party there. And the one balcony has the stuff for a tea party. 

Romance Festival

 Carly, Day 109, April 19, 2026

This was not what I intended for Carly to do today, but she hasn't accepted a festival offer in a long time, so when Luna called about the festival, she accepted and took some of the crew along. 

I know Tae was included but he must have left right away. Kristen was included too, but since Irene and Wolfie are in Selvadorada, I did not include them. 

Cebolla took off to do some dancing.

Then Carly's Watcher got distracted because she thought Jace was doing the rumba dance.

Yep, it was the rumba.

Alright one more. 

Rowan was playing violin. I think I might take that away from him and give him a guitar.

We are all still standing here because Watcher was still watching Jace.

Last one.

So then we all grabbed some tea.

Carly decided to seek some advice from the love guru.

Carly: So tell me, what is love all about?

Hope she didn't pay anything for that.

Then she decided to ask about her romantic destiny.

Well, this is sounding good, maybe. Fire for passion or fire as in dumpster fire.

Dumpster fire.

Oh well, who believes that kind of stuff anyway! And she had just had one of those unsatisfied calls from Akira. Hey, the phone works both ways! She's not calling anyone anymore unless it's a first date. 

Jace and Honey looked cute sitting together.

It was Talk Like a Pirate Day.

And Carly just started publishing the books she has been writing and the first one was nominated for an award. I don't think she'll be able to go because she doesn't have any fame (because it is turned off) but I am pretty sure the VIP ropes still need to be in place or no MC shows up. I will try it just to see. Maybe she can bribe the bouncer or fight him.
