Hiking and Festivals

 Carly, Day 164, June 13, 2026

Carly and Phillip need to have 3 wildlife encounters so they continue to go on hikes. They also need to get some inclement weather in order to complete the other task. So, they have also started on the Sightseer Aspiration, which involves some things at festivals and other Mt. Komorebi activities. The first festival to come up was the Festival at Snow in the Yakimatsu neighborhood - the snowy one. They both tried the festival food which I think was fried squid. 

And they both got selfies with Yamachun.

And they both bought simmi capsules and each got the same one. They enjoyed seeing all the ice sculptures though.

Then they decided to try out the hiking trail that starts in that neighborhood.


They came across the cave with the statues. I do not think I have had anyone hike this trail because I did not remember these statues.

And they did the echo thing in the cave.

No wildlife encounters on that hike though. The next day was actually warm and sunny without an amber ring, so they took off for the river in their neighborhood for a swim to check something off the other aspiration. Em came along and they had a family swim.

And yes, Em loves her hat and sweater so much she kept them on while swimming.

After the swim, they headed to the Festival of Youth which is just a walk from their house. Carly and Phillip got some ice cream.

And Em had fun running around and playing.

They will keep trying at the aspirations. And they have a couple visits to Ciudad to make. Em misses her Dad Louie and wants to thank Grandma Irene for the hat idea.

Back At Home

 Carly, Day 146, May 26, 2026 The best thing about coming home after a long vacation... Em: Mommy, mommy, I missed you. Carly: I missed you too cutie pie. Carly was a little rusty with her swordsmanship training though. Carly: Ouch! And Carly started right in on trying to complete the social puppeteer. She thought maybe she could get some secrets at some of the bars, so after Phillip went to sleep, Carly headed out. She got enough secrets to complete the third part of the aspiration. Look how muscular everyone is though. It was definitely that decree. I had Phillip remove it so we'll see if people stop being so muscular. For the fourth part, she has to expose the royal burglar and she has to become friends with the Information Broker, as well as deal with 10 more secrets. But she is able to hack for the secrets in that last phase so she has been doing that too. And all of these interactions with the nobles has increased her rank with the nobles to where she outranks Phillip.  ...

Start of a New Term

 Carly, Day 96, April 6, 2026 One thing that makes University so hard is not getting your new classes until about 6PM and then you may have 3 classes to do homework for. Luckily, Carly only had 2 Thursday classes to prepare for. She was hard at work (mostly hard at work) studying when someone happened to be walking by her house and couldn't resist stopping in to see her.  Watcher: You just have to get through two class homeworks tonight.  Carly: I know. Watcher: You do not look like you are reading about writing children's books. Carly: I am still reading the book.  That's about the time Paolo showed up. That little want she has in the corner is to woohoo with Paolo.  Watcher: Carly, you still have to finish one more homework. Carly: Watcher says I have to do this one homework before we whatever.
