Opening Pandora's Box

 Carly, Day 184, July 3, 2026

After talking with Phillip, Carly was sure she had enough evidence in her file to get the key card from Erwin at the Curio Shop. Once she had the card, she traveled back to the lab and opened the door. She found some old labs and a hallway that she dare not go down. What was down there?

She knew she would need some type of protection to go deeper. What happened next, she felt responsible for. She let it out when she opened the door. The World started changing. The skies yellowed, more of the weird plants appeared everywhere, and tiny spores were floating everywhere.

She knew she didn't have much time. She had to come up with a way to go deeper. Erwin said he had a hazmat suit but it wasn't complete. One of the scientists she talked to promised her a spore filter but she had to make some vaccines and test them first. The scientist suggested she get a scanner and see what she could put together.

She was able to bribe a military guy for a scanner and took off for the lab. Those plants were everywhere now.

She took the spores and some fruits down to one of the labs and started making vaccines.

Carly: I hope this works.

**************SPOILER ALERT - There are some pictures that include the world after the door was opened and her first encounter *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

She spent so much time at the lab and talking with military and scientists, she felt like she was neglecting Phillip and Em. But she also knew that she had to do this in order to save them. The World was changing fast. She could see it everywhere.

She tested the vaccine she made on 3 infected people and was able to get the spore filter from the scientist.

Surely, Phillip must notice it now.

She assembled her hazmat suit and headed to the lab and went down the spore-filled hallway, eventually arriving at another locked door.

Carly: I have to open it - there's no turning back now.

Carly to herself: You're going to need a bigger boat.

She knew she couldn't do this alone. She would need a team. She headed back to town.

Is there anybody out there?
